Wellness Center - Are you ready??

First of all, I apologize for not having information during the winter for all you members.  We really did not have much going on and very little winter to report on, but that does not excuse me from letting you KNOW that.  Anyway, the ski resort was still open throughout the season and even had snow on the slopes in places until just recently...certainly the base and stockpiles were well maintained so that we had some activity even in warmer times.

Now for our intro to summer.  The Wellness Center is almost ready to open.  I stopped by this morning and chatted with Nancy.  The equipment has all been moved over, the entry system is being installed, a new walkway has been paved to the front door and lots of follow up work continues.  The following are pictures I took prior to the construction cleanup. 

An area for working out alfresco is currently being worked on and a trail system will guide you from the front door to the walking circuit around Lake Coffey and the hiking trail systems below the lake.

From the moment you enter the front door you can see the extra room available at each station.  The weights are to the right, cardio is on the back wall where multiple windows look out over the back lawn and huts and other stations are in the middle.  A Smith station could possibly be added soon!

Both mens and womens bathrooms have a nice tile shower, lockers and sinks.

This is going to be an exciting summer for BMC, Beech Mountain and the High Country so make sure you plan on spending some time up here.  We're waiting for you!
