KEEP UP TO DATE ON TOWN INFORMATION

All BMC members are Town of Beech Mtn tax payers. Lee Wittmann has developed a town information site, that is very informative. One of the items covered this month is the cost of the Buckeye Recreation Center, which according to Lee is $626,160. Income is $128,950 from 200 individual and family members. And, did you know that 3 of the 5 Town Council Seats are up for relection. (most of us can't vote) Two of those seats voted for the tax increase. The next meeting will be held on August 4th at 10:00 A.M. in the Pavillion, near the pool. We will be making special plant markers. Call Suzanne Powell for details at 387-9250.

NEW BEAR ORDINANCE ON BEECH

Please go to Debbie Canady's BLOG site http://www.beechmountainnews.blogspot.com/
She has all the information. Apparently, someone on N. Pinnacle Ridge has been feeding 13 bears. Learn how to do your part, with your trash, and bird seed, so wild annimals are not attracted to your home. Thanks Debbie for posting this information. Debbie also works on our BLOG, and especially posts items on BMC building projects during the winter.
