BEECH MTN LADIES GOLF ASSOC MEMBER-GUEST

HAIL STORM HITS BMC!
It started to rain, the warning horn went off, and then there were loud booms of thunder, and then both hail and rain fell in large amounts from the sky. Here are some pictures. There was a very wide stream, flowing through the Recreation Center parking lot.

Absolutely! Look at the number of members at the Recreation and User Fee Committee meetings. The Board Meeting will be held on Wednesday, August 1st at 3PM. All members are welcome to attend. Put it on your calendar.

THINGS TO DO ON BEECH
Dan Patry, one of the four golf Pro's at the BMC is teaching a putting lesson on the #1 green. The group lessons are completed for the year, but contact the Golf Pro shop @387-2372 for a private lesson. They will soon be available at the beautiful new Practice Facility.

The Golf Committee is in charge of giving direction to the Golf Staff and Management. John Carrin, Golf Pro, is 3rd from left. Joan Wichman and Jack Dickerson, on the committee, are the presidents of the BMLGA and BMMGA.

GOLF MEETING DAY AT THE BMC!
The Grounds and Greens and Golf meetings were held on Tuesday afternoon, in the beautifully redecorated Recreation Room. A couple of the pictures are of the interested golfers, who attended.
Brian Barnes, G.M., showed the drawings of the proposed new Cart Barn, which you can also check out. Brian is a familiar face, but the other gentleman in the picture is Matt LaVigne/CFO.
BMC Committee Meetings are open to members, and are a wonderful way to express your opinion and learn what is going on. Check out the schedule and attend them.

REMEMBER THE BEECH MTN ART GUILD SHOW
It will be held on Saturday, July 21st, from 9:00 A.M. to 4:40 P.M. at the BMC Recreation Room. I snuck by early on Friday to take some pictures. The quality of the art is very high, and would make a perfect addition to your mountain home.

Scenes from Twilight Golf
We had a wonderful crowd to enjoy the beautiful weather. Here are some of the players. Jim Abbott and Norm McCarvill are discussing their plan for winning. Kathy Dorosy, Ruth Richards, and Sarah Abbott are talking about one of Ruth's putts. Max Richards is waiting for the play to begin, and the last picture is a team playing during the tournament on Hole #3.
Next week, the Pro Shop will pair the players, so any couple interested in playing, just sign up at the Pro Shop. It is a great way to meet other BMC Members. Don't forget to sign up for dinner at the Club House. That's part of the fun of Twilight Golf.
John Carrin mentioned that the new Golf Practice range may be opened by next Wednesday. The present one may be closed part of this week, so call ahead, before you plan to practice.
