We had lots of members show up on a very rainy morning. We were going to meet in the Butterfly Memorial Garden, near the Tennis Courts, which will be planted in the near future, but because of the weather, we met at the RAR. Candyce Scherer gave a very informative talk on Butterflies---how to identify them, and showed us some books on the subject, and information on how to provide the proper plants and food for them. Afterward, we had a plant exchange and enjoyed some delicious refreshments.
Our next program will be on August 2nd, and Suzanne Powell will discuss Herbs. If you want to know more about our organization, contact our Coordinator, Carol Klein @ 387-2969. You'll meet a very nice group of Beech Mtn Club ladies, who love to garden.
