The initial Beech Mountain Club Food and Wine Society dinner was held on
June 15th to overwhelming acclaim at a sold out event. Four Argentinean and Chilean wines were paired with a similar number of courses (the scallops were delicious) each featuring cuisine from the same region and selected by the Society's board andadvisors in conjunction with Chef Roger. Random seating allowed members to meet and socialize with others they might not have known previously. Each course and its wine pairing were fully described by Dining Manager Lindsey Fox and all wines are available for order through the club at a discount. Two additional events featuring wines and dishes from New Zealand and Italy are planned for later this summer.
