What a wonderful day! The FPS was led by Ralph Miller, a BMC member who has had many personal photo shoots on the Blue Ridge, and was kind enough to take us to some of his favorite places. The first location was at the Yonahlossee Overlook/ 4412 elevation, which is just past the viaduct, and you can walk outside the guardrail to get terrific views. The second location was Rough Ridge Overlook, which is correctly named. Take a walking stick and proper hiking shoes, but the climb is worth it. You can stop at Price Lake on the way.
He also gave us printed information about composing pictures, and a gorgeous page of his pictures, printed on photo paper. Thank you Ralph. His wife, Jan, works at the Recreation office, and we thank her, also.
