The Beech Mountain Lady Niners celebrated their Annual Member/Guest. "In Purse-Suit of Happiness" today. Members and Guests created specially decorated purses for the event.
Each two person team could purchase two shapiros, two sandies, and two alibis. A shapiro allowed a player a choice of the result of her new or old shot. A sandy allowed a player that hit the ball in a trap to toss it out, and remain at the same score as when she went in. An alibi gave players a chance to redo the shot, but that shot replaced the first one. The Tournament was a "step aside" Scramble, where the player of the shot selected, as the best to play, was not allowed to hit the next shot. There was also a closest to the line, and a closest to the pin tournament, and all was followed by a delicious lunch at the Clubhouse dining room, followed by awarding of prizes..beautiful purses. It was a fun day for all. We thank May Dahl for taking these pictures.
