We met in the cool pavilion, and under the leadership of Suzanne Powell, worked on several projects. Suzanne had all of the supplies for the projects on different tables. We decorated plain flower pots, turning them into special objects. There was also a concrete material to make plant markers, cut out with cookie cutters, which could be hung on copper tubing. Other ideas were using the seed packages as markers by putting wrapping tape around them for protection, and finally, make your own special marker by cutting a slice off a stick, writing the name of the plant, and protecting it with a protective finish. Call Suzanne Powell at 387-9250, for details on these projects, and also for information about our last meeting of the season, which will be a Tea at Carol Richardt's home, on Monday, August 18th.
