Make a note on your calendar to save Thursday, June 17th at 6:30 P.M. to enjoy a program by Curtis Smalling at the Buckeye Lake Recreation Center. It is free, and he will take you outside to actually view birds. Curtis is a Mountain Region Biologist with the N.C. Audubon Society. Kim Barley and I went to his program at the Valle Crucis Park this morning. This man knows more about birds, can identify them by flight or song, and carries a Bird Book, so he can show you a close up picture. Bring your cameras and Binoculars and bird questions.
