BMC GROUNDS AND GREENS COMMITTEE MEETING-AUGUST 7TH

All golfers should attend a Grounds and Greens meeting to realize how much work goes into maintaining the golf course in it's beautiful condition. Rory Ellington, Supt. of Greens, is constantly checking new ideas to maintain the course.  There is a 2012 new putting green maintence plan.  He is constantly working on plans to improve fairways, with regard to diseases, fertility, traffic, etc. There is currently a NCSU Plants Study on #7.  Plants have been purchased from Colorado that grow well here.  He has updates on Deer Resistant Plants and will share them with BMC Members.  The committee is considering plans to trim/remove tree at Clubhouse & #10 for view and improve playability. Those are just a few items discussed.
