Daniel Brubaker, of the Banner Elk United Methodist Church, is holding an evening serice at 6:00 on Sat. nights at the Beech Mtn Picnic Shelter, between the Beech Mountain Recreation Center and Buckeye Lake. If Saturday night does not work, The Banner Elk Methodist Church is located around the corner from the Banner Elk Post Office at 486 College Dr. They have a "Blue Jeans" Contemporary Service at 9:40 A.M and a Traditional Service at 11:00, and two Sunday School Classes. The 1st Sunday of the Month is Holy Communion; 4th Sunday of the month: Covered Dish Lunch immediately following the traditional worship service. (They serve fellowship refreshments before every other service) In the summer, they have "Wonderful Wednesdays" where you can have wonderful fellowship and meal starting at 5:30 PM.
