It is again summer and we have many people on our roads. All these people are not drivers. Many are walkers with children or pets, some are bikers and other are joggers. The Town of Beech Mountain has a town wide speed limit of 25 mph. Also, be aware of cross walks and heavy pedestrian areas and slow down for pedestrians’. Beginning on Friday, June 22, 2012 our police department will begin our summer safety program aimed at ensuring that our roads are safe for everyone. Please, please slow down. They will patrol all roads but will keep close watch on the main roads such as Beech Mountain Parkway, Pine Ridge, Tamarack, Charter Hills, St. Andrews, Pinnacle Ridge, etc.. Don’t be the one to contributed to supporting the NC Department of Education because of your excessive speed. Let’s have a safe and happy summer. Thanks for your support and please share this email with everyone and get the message out.
