WOOLY WORM BALL

The Wooly worm Festival Ball will take place at the Beech Mountain Club on Friday, October 12, from 6:00 to 9:00 with the dress being Wooly Worm Casual.

After nearly a fifteen year hiatus, a committee from Beech Mountain, the Avery County/Banner Elk Chamber of Commerce, and the Kiwanis Club will sponsor a Wooly Worm Ball. This will be a benefit for needy chidren from Avery County. The cost is $60.00, which will include an elaborate buffet with several beverages, a DJ, Keith Richardson, providing music for dancing, and a silent auction.

Tickets may be purchased from Mary Jane Borden at 387-9012, Susie O'Connell at 387-2101, or Becky Wheeler at 387-4833. Also, a table will be set up to sell tickets from 11:00 AM until 2:00 PM at Fred's Mercantile on September 29 and October 6.
