When I pulled out of my driveway to go to work yesterday a doe was in the road, obviously upset. She would start to go to one side of the road, then to the other, then stand in the middle and look at me. When I rolled my window down I heard a small noise just off the road next to my car. On closer inspection I found that "momma" was upset because her newborn had fallen into a 3' hole next to a hiking path. I called Paul and he walked down and pulled her/him up and out of the hole. She was very unstable, either from weakness or because she was so young. We left her alone to reunite with her mom and we are hoping "Lucky" and mom come by to visit soon.

Assistant Golf Pro Assists More Than Golfers
Assistant Golf Pro, Paul Canady, aids one of the newest additions to Beech Mountain.
