The secret is beating the Deer at their own game.....eating your plants and flowers. It's very simple. No soap, smelly fluids, etc. Just beautiful garden ornaments that she has purchased at craft shows and friends have given her.
Her story is that she has never had anything eaten in her garden, with exception of one year, when they arrived later than normal, and her ornaments were not there. The Deer did eat her garden, like everyone else on St. Andrews...but as soon as she put them back, no more trouble!
She thinks it's the silver tones and movements of the ornaments. She adds that these do not protect gardens from hail! Thanks, Barbara. I for one, am going to try this next year. The Deer have already eaten all my flowers, this year.
