This is a group of 14 BMC couples led by Sandy and Pete McDonald, which is divided into two tournament groups of 7 couples each. Each couple invites 3 other couples individually to their home, and plays at 3 other couple's homes. Just drinks and snacks are served, and the scores, which are determined by the groups rules, are E-Mailed to Sandy and Pete, who issue a running total during the season. Two bridge parties, during the season, with snacks before and desserts after play, are held at the Alpen Haus with both groups in attendance. Last night awards were given for the average scores of the season:
Men: 1st: Bill Brennan 2,888; 2nd: Jim Raymond 2,805
Women: 1st: Ronnie Wolf 2,417; 2nd: Marion Bernstein 2,350
Last place man and woman, who played well, but didn't have advantage of good cards: Jim Steward and Gayle Cooper.
We all thank Sandy and Pete for all of their work, so we can meet and enjoy other Bridge players.
