The program, "Wild Flowers of the High Country was presented by Dr. Alice Russell and Marge Bailey. We met at the Alpen Haus and Alice and Marge led members and guests on an interesting and informative walk in the area. Many plants were identified and discussed. Of special interest was a rarely seen beautiful yellow flower commenly called, "Dolls Eye". Everyone returned to the Alpen Haus for lunch, salad, herb dressing and mint tea.
The next meeting will be on Monday, August 17th at the Alpen Haus. The program wil be "The Pampered Gardener", aroma therapy with lavender. Suzzanne Powell.
